Busy As a Beaver

Ethan's crib has accumulated some serious damage after numerous months of teet
hing.
Despite having several stuffed animals and chewy toys available, Ethan has been taking out his teething on his poor wooden crib. We've tried the rail guards, but because
the railing is so wide they don't fit well and therefore don't stay on for long. First time it happened, I thought he'd cut himself somehow as the flaky red varnish had combined with his saliva and was all over his chin. Then I discovered he'd been gnawing on the railing. Nearly had a heart attack.

Children's Tylenol Recall

Just got done checking the lot # on the Children's Tylenol we've been giving Ethan and sure enough, it matches one of the one's being recalled. Scary. He's been teething, so have used it quite a bit lately. Not sure what's worse: effects of teething a molar, or the problems associated with the Tylenol. Obviously, we're not taking any chances.

Here's a link to the list of products recalled and the effected lot #'s. Lot #'s can be found in small print above the product name on the label.

Ethan's Latest

Unless it's really serious, when correcting Ethan I usual say 'unh-unh'. I don't want the word 'no' to lose it's value, so this is held in reserve for those life-or-death moments. And I didn't want him to run around saying 'no' to everything and everyone at some point, as well. The other morning he went up to the dog door (which he's not allowed to play with so cats don't get out on accident), pointed at it and said 'unh unh, unh unh'. He has now done this with the tv remote, the soap, mommy's book, and various other things. Some of them I've had to let him know that it's okay to play with. It's interesting to see what his interpretation is of what is off limits. Too cute! Hopefully I can get it on camera.

Test, test, testing...

Alright, so we're jumping on the proverbial band wagon and starting a family blog. Usually I'd just post things on Facebook, but the allotted word count was too small. So here we go!
